- Here's the deal. I'm almost finished writing my difinitive guide to
- writing music MODules (titled, in the spirit and tradition of newbie
- manuals everywhere, "MODs for Morons"), and I've added in a section
- detailing where to get all sorts of stuff on the Internet pertaining to
- MODs. It's not by any means an exhaustive list, but it's enough to get
- anyone going with anything they need from Internet locations close in or
- around any country. What I need is to compile a list of FTP sites and WWW
- pages featuring the following:
-
- - Music MODs (XM/669/S3M okay, but my guide covers only 4 track PT MODs)
- - Sound Samples (Any kind, but with special emphasis on musical instruments,
- including public domain MIDI patch sites such as the Kurzweil site at
- ftp.uwp.edu) Any format will do.
- - MOD editing/playing prorams for Amiga, IBM PC, Apple Mac and PowerPC
- (I already know pretty much all 'trackers/players for Atari machines)
- and where to get them
- - Sample editors for the machines listed above
-
- List your favourite MOD editors/players and sample eitors and your reasons
- for them being your favourite. Feel free also to list your favourite
- MODs while you're at it. :-)
-
- Please don't list any Aminet sites, as I already have all of those, the
- major ones being included in my manual.
-
- Answers in E-Mail, please, as I actually don't frequent all of the
- newsgroups this is getting posted to. Credit will be given in the guide
- for your assistance. Once finished, the guide will be available on my
- homepage (URL in my .sig) and on many FTP sites.
